'Jeff' Smith

Mr.
Smith is a 2002 Graduate of the Landscape Architecture program at
Mississippi State University. While attending MSU, Mr. Smith
was involved in many community design and development projects, including
golf course communities, residential neighborhood design, city park
designs and community centers. Working with a team of designers from
MSU, Mr. Smith placed in a national design competition for the
East Nashville Civic Square development.
Throughout his educational career, Mr. Smith has worked for various
garden centers, landscape design and maintenance companies, as well
as working for the U.S. Department of Interior, through MSU, providing
field research and GPS mapping of the Natchez Trace Parkway.
Since beginning working as a design associate at Phillips Design Group,
Mr. Smith has been responsible for the design and implementation of
various residential and commercial projects. These projects include
small and large scale residential master planning, national hotel
chains, business offices, apartments and condominium complexes, universities
and various other properties. Other responsibilities of Mr. Smith
include construction estimating, project bidding, project management,
production management and various computer related functions.
Some of the more notable projects Mr. Smith has been involved with
include Kemper Combustion Turbine facility for TVA, Knoxville, TN,
Holiday Inn Express, Tupelo, MS, Huntington Park Garden Homes, Starkville,
MS, Garden of Hope for the Sav-a-Life Foundation in Tupelo, MS, Brookwood
Middle School, Tuscaloosa, AL, and Hunter Henry Center at Mississippi
State University.
Mr. Smith currently resides in Starkville, MS.
