INFORMATION
GATHERING & ANALYSIS
In
this stage, we normally seek base information from clients about
their property and their intentions. This base information may include
but not be limited to:
Site, topography and existing vegetation surveys As-built drawings
for existing structures, landscape, irrigation, lighting and drainage
house plans and utility locations.
At this point we also ask clients to begin to compile notes or images
of environments or elements they see as desirable to incorporate.
These may include magazine articles/photographs, travel photos,
sketches, material samples, etc. These personal insights are often
the best input we receive from clients regarding their vision for
a project.
From this information we prepare a Base plan which shows how the
home or facility is situated on the site relative to property lines,
roads etc. We then make a review of the site with our client taking
into account and noting irregularities and specific needs.
