DEVELOPMENT OF NEEDS/USE ASSESSMENT (DESIGN PROGRAM)

During completion of the base plan information we meet with the client to develop an understanding of their specific needs. This becomes a list of program elements which tells us what we are trying to accomplish.

Use/needs assessment takes into consideration a clients planned functional and entertainment activities and may include defining space for outdoor entertainment (how many guests, how large a patio), circulation and guest parking (how wide, how many spaces, where?), privacy screening (vegetative, fencing, both?) and of course safety and security considerations (pool fencing, site access), to name a few. Generally, as any two environments/clients seldom, if ever have the same needs and uses and it is our task to collaborate with the client to make these determinations. ..................................................................
